Please, read carefully the Brazil Cup rules, as you and your team must fully agree with these terms to participate in the tournament:
1. FORMAT: 7-A SIDE, 3 outdoor natural grass fields.
2. GAME BALL: FIFA #5 balls will be used for the tournament.
3. Male tournament, groups of 4 teams, maximum 40 teams, minimum of 3 games per team.
4. CREDENTIALS: all players will present credentials before game, and must be previously enrolled to be able to play.
5. LENGTH OF GAMES: Field Referees may alter the length of any game due to fighting, weather, or any unforeseen condition.
Games will be 40 minutes, with two half times of 20 minutes each, with a 5 minutes break. Games tied at the end of regular time will stand as ties, except during TOP 8 team elimination matches when shoot-outs (penalties) will be implemented.
Championship and playoff games will implement a tie breaking procedure. A Ten (10) minute’s sudden death "GOLDEN GOAL" time period will be used for games that end in ties. If a tie still exists, then the game will go to SHOOT-OUTS from the penalty spot.
PROTESTS: All games will be considered final. NO PROTESTS WILL BE ALLOWED.
6. SCORING - TIEBREAKERS: Teams earn points based upon the results of the preliminary matches played on Wednesday and Thursday. Points will be awarded as follows:
- 3 Points Win;
- 1 Point Tie;
- 0 Points Loss.
When teams finish with equal number of points, decision will be done by:
- Goal difference;
- Goals in favor;
- Direct encounter score;
- Drawing.
7. GAME START: All games will start at scheduled time. Teams must report to the field a minimum of 30 minutes prior to scheduled start time.
The team that doesn’t show up after 5 minutes of the scheduled time will loose their points. The other team, in this case, will be considered the winner as a 3-0 score.
Minimum number of players: a team must have at least 5 players to be able to start the game.
No equipment that could be dangerous to the player or to another player, will be worn, as determined by the referee (for example jewelry). Special model for practice of sports eyeglasses will be permited.
Shin guards covered by socks are mandatory.
8. SPORTSMANSHIP: Good sportsmanship will prevail at all times. Captains are responsible for the conduct of their players.
9. SIDELINE BEHAVIOR: A coach may not enter the field of play except upon the referee's signal.
10. EJECTIONS: Players ejected from a game will automatically be suspended from the team's next game.
Ejection's will be reviewed by the Tournament Director and may result in a more severe penalty. Fighting between players, violent conduct and harassment of referees by coaches, will be considered serious misconduct. Fighting between players will result in ejection from the tournament.
11. Two yellow cards in the same game or one red card means a sent-off and an automatic ban for 1 match. Player sent-off can be substituted after 3 minutes or if a goal will be scored.
12. Player banned that plays anyway, will be banned for the entire Tournament and the game is considered lost for his team.
13. A player can appear in only one team. If a player appears in 2 teams he will be banned for the entire tournament and the teams will undergo a 3-0 defeat for games involved.
14. JERSEY COLOR CONFLICTS: In the event of a conflict in jersey colors, the organizers will provide a color vest. Goalkeepers must wear colors clearly distinguished from all other players and referees. Standard referee jerseys for the tournament will be used.
15. UNLIMITED SUBSTITUTIONS are allowed upon a dead ball or upon command of referee.
16. The only permitted cleats are those with NON-METAL studs.
17. NO OFFSIDES will be called during tournament play in accordance with FIFA rules.
18. GK throw-in must be made with hands. The ball cannot land into the other half of the pitch. GK can kick the ball but not after using hands and anyway he/she cannot play the ball for more than 5 seconds.
19. GK cannot use hands in back- passes of any kind.
20. Sliding tackles are not permitted. |
